Approximately a month ago my daughter was rushed to Children's Hospital in Detroit for what the dermatologist believed was Kawasaki. She presented every symptom MINUS the fevers. She had the swollen lymphnodes, the rash, the HOT to the touch hands and feet. Everything was swollen and tingling. They took all the blood draws and eventually they said that it "could" have been a virus or bacteria infection that caused the body to react the way it did. I still feel that it was Kawasaki because of the skin condition. They treated her with a Z pack "just in case". Her skin still continues to shed and her nails show all of the signs of Post Kawasaki. I guess what I wanted to know is if anyone else has seen KD present itself without the fever. I asked the Pediatric Dermatologist and they said that it could be asymptomatic but could not say for sure. My concern is that whether I should reach out to PCP and ask them for a referral to a Pediatric Cardiologist for a cardio echogram?
Another question I have is whether their is anything to help with the peeling skin. It has been approximately 7 weeks since it all started and her skin is still peeling on her hands and feet. We use aquaphor with socks on the hands and feet every night and nothing seems to help.
Thank you in advance.
Is KD possible without the fever?

Re: Is KD possible without the fever?
I am not a doctor but I can see a lot of "atypical KD" around - I am sure it is safer to check with a cardiologist: a heart ultrasound poses no risks and you can quickly check if the coronaries are enlarged etc, there is no downside in doing a quick visit to the cardiologist, except for the doctor's fee. I would waste no time and put my mind at ease.
Good luck
