my 2 month old baby girl.

Postby brooklynmom2014 » Thu May 01, 2014 9:23 pm

My name is Kathy. My 2 month old baby girl Brooklyn got diagnosed with Kawasaki disease 2 weeks ago. She had the acute kind. Being a first time mom I was scared to death. How in the world my little girl can get something that so life threating. It started out with a small rash on her cheek so I took her to her doctor and they just said oh its a virtual infection she will be fine. She was fine over easter weekend until Easter night. We try and feed her she refuse to eat and what she did eat she threw all up so of course I panic the next morning the rash had spread all over her body and she had a fever so I took her back to her doctor again they said it was something viral she be fine....a hour later her fever spiked up to 101.0 I said screw her doctor and took her to the er... After 7 hours of testing and crying mostly from me they diagnosed her with acute Kawasaki disease. So they transferred us to Beaumont royal oak. We were there a week Before before being discharged. She now has so many doctor appointments and many trips to make sure her heart okay its a scary thing for me as a first time mother to go threw. I still blame me believing it my fault even though I no it not my fault. I guess I just wanted to share my story with you all.
