Hello all. My name is Chelsea and I am currently doing some research on Kawasaki Disease. It is actually research for a school speech. I want to focus my speech on Kawasaki as a whole but more specifically how common it is. All of the research I am finding is pretty much not pressing the importance of looking out for this disease because they claim it is so rare and easily cured. My sister was diagnosied with Kawasaki Disease and luckily made a full recovery, but I know there are many children who do not. I really want to inform my peers on the importance of this and why medical doctors should focus more on finding diagnositcs for this disease. I would appreciate all the reseach you have!!
Thanks,
Chelsea

Re: Researching Kawasaki
I'm sure I'm too late for your report, and can't give you any statistics, but my 3 yr old son just had this illness and I want to say "Thank You" for trying to bring awareness to this disease. Rare or not it deserves research and public knowledge. Misdiagnosis can have terrible consequences, both immediate and in the future for KD kids. So thank you, thank you
And I know how frustrating it can be to try and get good info on this subject, sad that there isn't more out there in this day and age.
