KD on Grey's Anatomy - March 28, 2013

On Thursday, March 28 ABC’s hit drama, Grey’s Anatomy will tell the story of a mom advocating for her infant who is suffering from KD. The mom is played by Sarah Chalke, who in her real life is a KD parent. So, the story is told with incredible emotion and authenticity. Following the episode, Sarah will make a public service announcement directing viewers to the KD Foundation for more information. We are encouraging families across the country to invite friends and family to their homes to tune in and experience what KD parents often go through when their child is afflicted by KD. A viewing party can be a great way to increase awareness and raise much needed funds for KD research. If hosts are comfortable making a donation ask, the simple message is that KD research is desperately needed because the budget deadlock in our federal government threatens the research programs that we believe will one day lead to a diagnostic test. Donations can be mailed to the KD Foundation or made on-line.
