PLEASE HELP I NEED ADVICES

We're at the hospital today. My son is 1 year old 3 months he had fever with runny nose and cough for the past 4-5 days after 3 days of on and off fever he developed rashes that started on his face going down.
He's doctor adviced us to have him admitted for further observation since he had fever for more than a week. At first they're not giving me the diagnosis then a nurse talked and explained to me what is happening. He is suspected to show symptoms of kawasaki disease due to long episodes of fever and developed rash on his body and already have lymph nodes on both sides of his neck.

I just want to ask parents who already encountered this disease if symptomes shows gradually or does it appear all of a sudden.
I just want piece of mind and think this is just roseola and nothing more serious cause doctors and nurses here are talking to me like it's severe but telling me not to worry cause the other symptoms are not yer showing. How can i not worry if it can clog the artery or develope aneurysm.


I just gone through a miscarriage last week and it's just the start of the year and i feel like my world is falling apart and crushing me. Please i need advice!

I am so sorry to hear your son is going through this..whether it be Kawasaki or not.
my son has had Kawasaki at age 7 months. He had fever, rash and red palms at first. then his symptom gradually escalated to having bloodshot eyes and strawberry tongue. I remember I noticed his symptoms disappear temporarily when given Motrin.
Is your child on a fever reducer? seems like if he is then the symptoms appear a bit slower...

Also I heard from a doctor that there are atypical and incomplete forms of Kawasaki where not all the symptoms show.
But also this disease is over diagnosed as well when it's something else.
When suspected as Kawasaki doctors want to treat it because the patient can develope lifelong heart illness.

my son was treated on the 7th day of the onset of fever and was left with slightly enlarged coronary artery to the borderline.
He had to be on aspirin for a month after treatment and it came down to normal size.

I hope they found out what your son has by now.

Thank you for this infornation. They disregarded the diagnosis of Kawasaki however we were moved to isolation room now. His infectious doctor also don't know what he got she said it might be just a viral infection because blood tests are normal but they will run another set of blood tests again tomorrow just to be sure that he is fine. I asked if can get an ECHO but they told me it's unnecessary because the heart is still at a normal state.

He's not taking other medication other than the IV fluids and antihistamine for the rash. I'm really scared to be honest, they can't tell me what it is and i can see that he's still not him self.

Does your son has lymph nodes too when he qas diagnosed?
I hope he gets better too.
