Kawasaki effects into adulthood

Post by kwathel »

Hello My name is Kayla. I am 26 years old married with a 2 year old daughter. I Had kawasaki's disease as a child (do not know what age) and have lived a pretty normal life after having follow up with no concerns. I recently was diagnosed within the past 3 years with tricuspid regurgitation. I am now figuring out that this all may to related to me having Kawasaki's disease as I child since I am healthy otherwise. I have had two opions and was told that nothing was wrong with my heart valves, one opion was from the facilty the actually treated me back in the 90's. I continued on with my life and had a baby with no complications thankfully. I had my fisrt appointment with a cardiologist yesterday and she was just as baffled as I was. I am scheduled to have an angiogram next week to check my arteries for damage. I have never "felt good" my whole life and have has shortness of breath, chest pains and tiredness. I cant believe this is happening to me and has went undected for so long. I am curious to know are there any other adults with the same experience?
