Regression!

We brought our now 9 month old son in for an echo yesterday (about 3 months post kawasaki), any we found out that his aneurysms have gotten smaller! He had multiple large and moderate aneurysm, they now appear to be small and moderate sized! woohoo! We were able to go down to one blood thinner yesterday, such a great feeling! It was so amazing to get good news after such a challenging few months, I wanted to share. Keep your hopes up and continue the prayers for your little ones effected by kawasaki disease!

That's great news! I am so happy for you and your family. I wish your son only good health from now on! Out of curiosity, did they take away the ASA or the Lovenox?

We dropped the lovenox, which is awesome, so no more injections. Now only aspirin, we discussed the possibility of using only plavix, but they were pleased enough with the regression the dr felt comfortable with aspirin, plus their is more clinical data with children on aspirin vs plavix.

That's great. I am sure you and he are glad to be rid of the Lovenox injections. Lately I have read some negative articles regarding Plavix, so the ASA is probably the better option.
