Good morning.
My son was diangosed with Kawasaki disease. He was admitted on day 5 and diangosed on day 7. Given the ivig treatment that night. He never had the swollen lymph nodes. Today is a week after treatment and he now has swollen lymph nodes. From his neck to his ears. Is this normal for recovery or should I be concerned? He has no fever, his skin seems to have stopped peeling. He still gets red eyes. He's on 182mg of aspirin every 6 hours until he sees a cardiologist on Tuesday.

Re: Lymph nodes swollen
I called his Drs office who transferred me to a triage nurse. She said he wasn't a typical case for Kawasaki disease missing some of the markers(like the swollen lymph nodes and minimal other signs) his crp, liver enzymes and his GGT were all really high though which is how they diagnosed him. I don't think it's fair to assume all children are the same and disease works the same. Anyways, she told me not to worry unless he gets a fever and other signs. Or if the nodes get as big as golf ball sized or they are red around them.
