My daughter was given IVIG for dilated arteries when she was 4 months old. Her 4 months vaccine was given 2 days before the IVIG date . She is now 5 months old. Now her 6 months vaccine is due (Diphtheria, Pertusis, Tetanus, Haemophilus Influenza Type b, Hep B, IPV, Pneumococcal). Hence it will be appreciated if anyone can highlight how much gap should I keep between IVIG and her next vaccine.
As suggested by Pediatric Rheumatologist the gap has to be 4 to 6 months for dead vaccine and 10-12 months for live vaccine. But as per Pediatric doctor dead vaccine can be given after 1 month to 2 months. Also I have seen many articles and there is no interaction between dead vaccine (6 months vaccines are dead vaccine) and IVIG.
Hence I am confused whether should I follow the Rheumatologist and delay the 6 months vaccination or follow Pediatric doctor and go with the scheduled vaccination.
Personally I don’t want to delay the vaccine if it is allowed to be given.

Only live vaccines have to be deferred for 11 months...all other vaccines should be given on schedule.

Just want to know whether live vaccines do mean all the live vaccines including OPV (oral polio vaccine) or only MMR and varicella vaccines, because in you referred articles it is mentioned only MMR and varicella vaccines (live vaccine) are to be delayed by 11 months from the date of IVIG for KD.
What I know OPV is also a live vaccine (IPV is dead vaccine) and it is also due for my daughter in next for month (6 months course).
I am not thinking too much about MMR and varicella vaccines as these are due for 1 year course and she is now 5 months. IVIG was given when she was 4 months old. That means these 2 vaccines are to given when she will be 1 year 3 months.
I am worried now for OPV as it was given 2 days before of her IVIG process (for 4 months course) and I don't have any idea whether this course is wasted or will work. OPV is also scheduled for her in next month for 6 months course.
