7 years post KD very high cholesterol

Our daughter had KD at age 5. She is 12 now and her chlesterol was just tested for the first time. Her total cholesterol is 312 and her LDL is 240. Has anyone else had similar experience. She is tiny and her diet does not have much room for improvement. Any advice appreciated.

I'm 13 years post kd and have never experienced high cholesterol or weight problems, although I've heard a lot of people have. I have been on a minimal cholesterol diet pretty much my whole life due to kd. I know you said her diet is fine, but you may want to cut out cholesterol all together if you haven't already.

My daughter has cholesterol in the 200's starting from age 6. All KD kids should be tested and more closely followed if they have lipid issues. Go the the lipid clinic in your area.
