Jayda Story Update April 2017

Our miss Jayda has come so far since her first being diagnosed. Within the last year they ordered her to have a sedated Cardiac MRI which caused concern by her cardiologist that she may have needed a stent placed in one of her arteries. After a Cardiac Catherization it showed that her aneurysms that...

Re: Jayda's Story

It has been just over 3 years since Jayda has been diagnosed. We were told she had a giant anerysum and a smaller one on two of her arteries. Jayda was on 2 injections a day of lovenox up until a few weeks ago at which time she was taken off and started warfin. This couldn't of happened at a better ...

Re: Jayda's Story

Jayda is doing great, she's been of the ASA for a few weeks due to her immunizations and was not put on Plavix as her levels are within normal range. She will see the Peds Cardiologist again in Dec and will have another Cath done in April 2010 at that time they will determine if we can take her off ...

Re: Jayda's Story

Our little Jayda had her cardiac catherization done last week. It was soooo hard leaving her after she fell asleep, I knew it was going to be hard and it was. Time just seemed to drag along, it was the longest 2 hours!! The cardiologist told us that the giant anerysum (the one that had smoothed itse...

Re: Jayda's Story

Jayda is scheduled for her Cardia Catherization on April 1, I'm very nervous about her having it done but it needs to happen sooner that later, she will be 8 months post being Dx with KD. As her anerysum is smoothed out her Cardiologist would like it done soon as they are unable to see how the blood...

Re: Jayda's Story

Jayda had another f/u with the cardiologist yesterday and the anerysum has seemed to smooth itself out, however it is still large, she will be scheduled for her angiogram in 6 weeks. For anyone who's child has had there childs anerysum smooth out, I'd like to know if this is a good thing meaning reg...

Re: Jayda's Story

Jayda had another f/u with the cadiologist today and no change in the size of her anerysums (which we knew would probably be the case as she's only recently been diagnosed). She won't have to follow up for a few more months. He is thinking of doing the angiogram in early April. Other than having a 2...

Re: Jayda's Story

Thank you for the information re: Angiograms. Because we have to travel to a larger city for the angiogram, both my husband and I will be going. Luckily we have great medical coverage because of where we live and through my work. We both want to be along side of Jayda, just thinking of it and having...

Re: Jayda's Story

Jayda was considered an atypical case as she didn't have all of the symptoms. She is a very happy little girl who smiles from morning to night. We are very lucky how well she has responded to her treatment thus far. We pray that there will be some change soon but we know it's not going to happen ove...

Re: Jayda's Story

Thank Your for your kind words!! Jayda handles the Lovenox Injections quite well. We give her the injections in her thighs, she was 10lbs. 5 oz when she was born so she's has those lovable thick thighs. Although some bruising it doesn't even phase her. As she gets bigger and walking we'll have to se...

Jayda's Story

Our daughter was recently diagnosed with Kawasaki's Disease on August 15, 2008. She was 5 months old at the time. Symptoms began with a fever of 104 and a rash on her stomach area. I immediatley took her to the Emergency Dept. at which time they told me to give her Motrin and Tylenol and sent us hom...
