casp3 is involved in programmed cell death or apoptosis which I have written about in other posts.

In searching for casp3, one of the first things you find is this site which links many articles/research:

In skimming this site about casp3 you find parvovirus. When you search parvovirus+kawasaki disease you can find numerous articles as there seems to be a relationship similar to the other pathogens. Examples:

Kawasaki disease associated with parvovirus B19 infection.
