Kawasaki Specialist

Post by Pacew » Sat Nov 26, 2016 9:50 am

My daughter diagnosed at 5 has had no heart issues. She is now being followed every 5 years by a cardiologist. She has very dry skin with lots of little bumps. She is 12 now and has slow growth. She is Asian but very small. Her thyroid numbers just came back high. Have not received growth hormone numbers yet. I am wondering if we need to find a Kawasaki Specialist. We are in SC. Thanks for any help.

certainly the slow growth and thyroid issues are something to follow up on with a pediatric endocrinologist.
However, there is nothing connecting these issues to a history of KD. Most of the physicians well versed in KD
are pediatric cardiologists and deal with the cardiac complications of KD.

good luck in finding answers,
