Re: Other Illnesses Post KD

My son got KD at 18 months old, he caught everything for at least the first year or two after his KD. Constantly on an antibiotic for one thing or another, which was upsetting as this would always interfere with his INR levels with his blood thinners. The whole family gets flu shots every year to pr...

Take care, we are all there with you!
My guy was 18months when KD happened I used to hide his aspirin in baby blueberries as he loved that. We did this with his Coumadin until he was 4 or 5 and could finally swallow the pills. That baby turns 18 years old tomorrow :D

Re: Beta blockers

It wasn't until just before Michael's surgery that they put him on the beta blockers but at the same time they added Lipitor. Have they ever suggested to put Paige on Lipitor? I know of a few child with giant aneurysms that are all on Lipitor, it is supposed to help the anerusyms some how. He is not...

Re: Beta blockers

My son has been on beta blockers since 2007 but he was 12 just turning 13 when he went on them. The only side effect he has was initially his blood pressure was quite low and would have dizzy spells but my side of the family all has naturally low blood pressure so he probably does too ten the beta b...

Re: Remembering David "DJ"

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can not agree more that there should be more follow up on the "all clear" patients, there is more and more studies proving this. It needs to be remembered that those first dr. Kawasaki patients are now only in there 50 and 60's when average people are starting t...

Re: 3 year old KD survivor living with multiple giant aneury

It is amazing how the pictures look similar to Michael's too! I should try and get Michael's pic after by-pass to show the changes. I hope Paige is doing good after the nose catherization, touch wood Michael has gone more than a year without an ER visit nose bleed! Hope saying that doesn't jinx it.....
