Re: Advice on joint pain after KD

That's a great idea about the journal! I will hunt for a Rhuematologist and see what they say. Thanks.

Advice on joint pain after KD

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this. My son was diagnosed and treated for KD right before his 2 birthday. He has no heart damage but he has other problems. Two weeks after coming home from the hospital he got a horrible itchy rash. After many creams, and medicines and d...

Tyler had his last echo

Tyler went in for his 6 month echo and they didn't even have to sedate him. He was such a champ! They put on Finding Nemo, he held my hand and let them do the entire thing. They said he's the first two year old they didn't have to sedate. Anyways they said his heart is perfect and that we don't have...

Re: On the wings of love by Donna Rhodes Collins

Thanks, I wanted to wait until we were further along with the whole KD thing before I read it so that's why I waited. Tyler is great, no effects and goes for his 6 month echo on Tuesday but I am very hopeful that it will be negative.

On the wings of love by Donna Rhodes Collins

Has anyone read this book yet? I ordered it today. It's a grandmother writing about her grandson who she lost to KD. I just wanted to know if it was a good book or not. Thanks.

We did not have our carpets cleaned and no one in my family did either. We all have hardwood floors and I use non toxic cleaners. Tyler stays at home with me and is in no daycare settings. He was not anywhere near carpets or cleaning agents for that matter prior to getting KD. It's just so frustruat...

I can't help you on the hair smell but the crankiness we did experience and it went on for a long time. He is just now getting back to his old self again. It's been 3 and a half months since he was diagnosed with KD. I think it is very noraml for KD children to be easily irritated.

Ok, so how do you get over the paranoid feelings

We are 3.5 months post KD and I still have intense paranoia. Am I the only one? One day will be just fine and I forget about it and then the next minute bam something makes me think about it. My 5 month old has peeling of his feet only with no other symptoms but it still scares me. I have no idea wh...

I know my son was never sick before KD and now has been sick ever since he had it. I don't know if it's related but I tend to think it is. Especially since he has had Eczema rashes which is an auto immune respose to the skin. He recently had rotavirus but I don't think that had anything to do with h...

Yes I will reply, my son was dx in January and came down with this rash about 3 weeks later. It came in stages. At first it was like cottage cheese under the skin, itched immensly from the beginning and started mainly on his upper thighs. I took him to his pediatrician and he said it was just an all...

I also think that Tyler never had Scarlet fever and our cardiologist also said that as well. He told us that everyone can have strep in their body but not be sick so that's why he could of had a positive reading. The rash was extremely itchy and that is why I know it was not a scarletina rash. I als...
Originally posted by Mom2John I changed John's pediatrician because of their lack of caring and help. Juleeannk, have you tried Eucerin Creme? It is the ONLY lotion that helped John's skin when the rash was still red and hot. I don't think I've seen it mentioned before. That and the Eu...
