Re: Untreated Kawasaki Disease/Adult Health Related Complications

hi

Sorry if my reply was confusing. The Kawasaki Disease Foundation, kdfoundation.org, is very clear that
Kawasaki Disease is not an autoimmune disease.

Re: Untreated Kawasaki Disease/Adult Health Related Complications

hi

good luck to you in your search for answers !

However, Kawasaki Disease is not an autoimmune disease. It is an acute illness that begins and ends with or
without treatment.

Re: KD symptoms after treatment

hi
The red eyes, especially at the end of the day, are very normal and do not mean continued inflammation or
any other problems :)

It is considered to be a form of photophobia and will likely be the last thing to resolve, my son's lasted
for almost 8 weeks

Re: IN NEED OF HELP/ADVICE!

hi

Has he red eyes, strawberry tongue ? Have they checked inflammation markers in lab work ? No specific test for KD, but
certain lab values will be elevated. Have they done an echocardiogram of his heart ?

Re: IN NEED OF HELP/ADVICE!

hi

symptoms do not show up all at once....can develop symptoms over multiple days
most significant symptom is fever that does not go away and doesn't respond to tylenol or ibuprofen

good luck :)

PS my condolences on your miscarriage...I remember how sad I felt

Re: My son passed away

There are no words for the loss of a child...but, know that my mother's heart goes out to you in your tragedy.
I cannot imagine what you are going through...but, hope that memories of his life with you live in your heart
forever and somehow sustain you in your grief

with deepest sympathy,
